יופי 

פרפורמנס, שירה קלאסית, מוזיקה אלקטרונית ותנועה אקסטטית בתצוגת הקבע של אומנות ישראלית, במוזיאון תל אביב לאמנות.

יופי נמצא במרווחים בהם דבר מתפתח מסתמי וחסר ערך לרב משמעי ומעורר. 
חילופי דברים חסרי חשיבות בין אנשים הנאמרים בסיטואציה אקראית כלאחר יד, אוצרים ואוספים אינספור שבבי מציאות, כשאותם הדברים בדיוק, מתוזמרים ומבוימים בחלל הגלריה שבמוזיאון. המילים הנאמרות עוברות דרך פריזמה של יופי. יופי מאפשר להן ערך מוסף.

הקהל מובל על ידי המופיעים במסע חושי. לעיתים הם משמשים כרועים של הקהל, לעיתים מכתרים אותו, לעיתים מתערבבים בתוכו ולעיתים מניחים לו. ההתייחסות הווקאלית והפיזית לקאנון האמנות המקומי ולחלל הגלריה הישראלית, מתפתחת לפעולה משותפת בין המופיעים לקהל שיש בה נחמה ויופי.

היצירה כתובה בשפה האנגלית מתוך נקודת מבט חיצונית על המנטליות הישראלית וגם כדי להקל ולהרחיק קצת מהמקום בו אנו נמצאים. הדמויות הזרות והישראליות בה, מתמודדות ומתעמתות תוך שהן מנסות להסתיר שנאה וכיעור אל מול בעיה שנדמית כבלתי פתירה. 

העבודה שנכתבה זמן קצר לפני ה-7 באוקטובר, קיבלה מאז מימד חדש וממשי, ומהדהדת את תחושת ההפקרות והפגיעות שהחליפה את הערבות והידיעה שיש מישהו בקצה השני.

הטקסט שכתב אריאל ברונז עבור היצירה מבטא באופן רב מימדי את קשיי הקיום שלנו, וחי במרחב בו הדיבורי הופך למָשָׁל, ומחוות שבשגרה מתגלות כמכרה של יופי.

היצירה הקולית בנויה כרקוויאם עכשווי בביצוע חי לחמישה קולות. רועי בן סירה חושף רבדי משמעות בטקסט בכוחה המהפנט של המוזיקה. הוא טווה הקשרים חדשים המתמירים את היומיומי אל הנשגב. עולם הדמיון הצלילי שלו ביצירה הווקאלית נמתח מימי הביניים ועד ימינו, עם משיכה אל המסורתי ואל האוונגרדי. את המעטפת ליצירה הווקאלית מעניקים המרחבים האלקטרוניים והביטים משני התודעה של רע מוכיח, והשילוב בין השניים מצמרר ופלאי.

היופי של יופי הוא בניסיון להשיב את הכוח והחיוניות לאותה חלקה של טוהר בנפש, שנרמסה תחת כיעור והרס. שאר הרוח מבקש לשוב ולהתגלות בחיינו, לנשוב כרוח גבית כדי שנוכל להמשיך.

Performance, classical singing, electronic music and ecstatic movement in the permanent exhibition of Israeli art at Tel Aviv Museum of Art

Petty argument between people, where words are said without much care in an everyday random situation, turned to be full of meanings as they are collected from endless broken pieces of reality, repositioned, orchestrated, and directed for the gallery space. The words that were said in the heat of the moment go through a prism of beauty which add to them value and appeal

The audience is led by the performers in a sensual voyage. At times the performers shepherding the audience, sometimes they besiege it, other times they mix among it, or just let it be. The physical relation to the local art canon on the walls and to the spatial conditions of the gallery, accumulates and curates new meaning as the performance unfolds to an interaction between the audience and the performers, one that brings comfort by Yofi

The piece is written in English from an outsider point of view, critically looking at the Israeli mentality in an attempt to distance itself from the place and time. The characters of the foreigners struggle with the Israeli ones as they try to suppress and overcome enmity and ugliness in overcoming what seems to be an unsolvable problem

The text written by Ariel Bronz tackles, in multi-layers expression, the hardships of our existence here. It becomes alive where the common mode of street speech becomes allegorical, and the daily gestures reveal themselves as a treasure of beauty waiting to be found

The vocal element in the piece is constructed as a requiem for five voices singing live. Roei Ben Sira injects more levels of meaning with  the hypnotic impact of sound. He webs new contexts that elevates the daily to the sublime. His imaginative and creative sensitivity for sound brings to our ears a wide range of musical influences, from the sounds from the Middle Ages and to the contemporary, a unique mixture of avant-garde with the traditional.  The soundscape of live vocals performance is enriched by the electronic sounds and bits, With the transformative electronic sounds of Rea Mochiach. The combination creates a liminal experience full of wonder

The trick in Yofi is to let oneself be carried on by the experience, which brings new vividness to the parts in us, that ugliness dulled. Inspiration is looking  to reach us, and to supply our tired spirits with new gifts of Yofi so we could enthusiastically live and not just stay on living
